MY story

The idea for The Float Room started more than five years ago.

After my first float, I couldn't stop talking about it. I recommended it to friends, family, colleagues and pretty much anyone who would listen. It was one of those experiences that's incredibly difficult to describe. You can explain the pod, the water, the salt and the feeling of weightlessness, but the experience itself is something you really have to try for yourself.

From that day on, the idea of opening a float centre was always in the back of my mind.

Life carried on, work was busy and the idea remained exactly that—an idea.

Then, in May 2026, my work life took an unexpected turn. The plans I'd spent years building suddenly changed and for the first time in a long while I found myself asking a simple question:

"What do I actually want to do next?"

What I realised was that I didn't necessarily know what I wanted to do, but I knew how I wanted to spend my time. I wanted to create something positive. Something that helped people. Something that made a difference, even if only in a small way.

The Float Room is the result of that.

It's a space designed to give people an opportunity to pause. To step away from the noise, demands and distractions of everyday life. To relax, recover, recharge and invest a little time in themselves.

Whether you're looking to unwind, support your wellbeing, aid recovery from training, or simply enjoy an hour of peace and quiet, my hope is that The Float Room becomes a welcoming space for the Pershore community.

If your experience is anything like my first float all those years ago, you'll probably find yourself telling everyone about it too.
